JUNETEENTH MADE A FEDERAL HOLIDAY
Texas was the Last State to Free The Slaves under The Emancipation Proclamation. Today in Texas a New form of Slavery remains within the Criminal Institution of Texas. We must not be silent and be anti racist and racism loudly!!!!!!! The Criminal Justice System is set up to be a giant Plantation with People of Color set up on a Revolving Door System and who are never to be free. The Criminal Justice System also serves as a "Voter Suppression" geared directly towards People of Color. To me, if you do your time, then you get out, at that time you should be restored your right to vote as an American period. In June of 2021, President Biden made Juneteenth a "Federal Holiday" with the cooperation of both the House and Senate. But what he did not do was include "Reparations" so, we still don't have our 40 Acres and a Mule. Today that would be 40 Acres and a John Deere fully equipped tractor. We appreciate the Bread of Juneteenth as a Federal Holiday but when we gonna get some meat. Such as being really counted as a Human Being. Probably not in my Lifetime but I truly hope for the Future Generations.
THE PANDEMIC AND US
Welcome to the Pandemic and Us. For many of us it's not over and we are still finding ways to cope. Since it first started in April of 2021, America and the World have been in perpetual motion. We are unsure of who to believe or whether it's been one big hoax. Things that used to not really matter now matter a great deal. Like when you were running low on paper goods and you could afford to think I can always get it tomorrow. But when the Pandemic hit you lived to regret that decision to wait because the next day the shelves were empty. The Hoarder in Chief had been born. Since time began there have always been the haves and have nots. You didn't feel as though you were hopeless when you didn't have because you could always wait it out and then there were places to turn to that could lend you a helping hand. But when you looked around and all the places that were offering help to the poor had empty shelves too. The Pandemic became a nightmare on your street and in your community. You couldn't talk to anyone because it was not safe and you had to stay 6ft away so gone were the hugs of comfort that used to help you cope with bad times. Those of us who had close family members on the 1st responders' occupations it was nerve wracking every day and still is. We have grown used to no contact and that is not a good thing for humanity.

We are craving a breath of fresh air and a return as close as possible to normal. But we don't see a complete end even after two vaccines and a Booster shot. The cost of living has gone beyond high. Gasoline is outrageous yet, our incomes remain below survival rate on a thin dime.
